Hanson & Verzoni of the Morning Mix were broadcasting live from Capitol Park in Augusta this past weekend as we had the pleasure of participating in
Maine State Credit Union's Walk to Stop Hunger.
We walked and chatted with hundreds of others who all came together to give to those who need it most. While this was the walk's 8th year, it was our first time being involved, and we couldn't have been more pleased with how things worked out.
Check out some of us in action at the walk!
We got there early...and of course Jay & Tanya
got right to talking with other organizers!!
Our friends from Tim Horton's donated coffee, water, donut holes, and bananas to make sure everyone was energized and ready to go!
Maine State Credit Union's CEO Norm Dubreuil and spokesperson Sarah Long cut the ribbon at the start of the walk in Capitol Park
Jay making sure the necessary precautions were taken, should he be unable to complete the walk.
Jay & Tanya beginning the walk, while doing a live broadcast! Multi-tasking pros at their best!!
Halfway home!! From Left to Right: Windy Dubay- Mix 107.9 Marketing consultant, Jay Hanson, Sarah Long - MSCU spokesperson, Norm Dubreuil - MSCU CEO, Tanya Verzoni.
Tanya pretends to be tired, while Jay pretends to care and make it seem like the walk was longer than it is... Our remotes are just like the Morning Mix!!
More dedicated walkers!!
The event was lucky to have the perfect weather! Not a single cloud in the sky!!
Our Creative Services Director, Josh, standing in front of the Capitol building ready to rock!! Thanks to him for walking with a backpack, and carrying all the extra stuff, and thanks to all you who joined us for this great event. Without people working tirelessly behind the scenes, none of the area food banks would be able to help so many.
Thanks to everyone from Maine State Credit Union and Mix 107.9!!
Partly Sunny, 46º
