Riverside Baptist Church will be holding a Public Breakfast Buffet on Saturday, October 12th, 2013 from 7:15 to 9:00 AM in the Fellowship Area. The home cooked menu includes scrambled eggs, bacon, potato, baked beans, pancakes, juice, beverage and southern style Biscuits & Gravy. Take outs available. Ring Family Farm Day (Benefit/ Fundraiser)
Time: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Location: 1833 Hill Road, Canaan
The Ring Family Farm Day will be held from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at 1833 Hill Road in Canaan. A $20 donation per family includes lunch from Riverfront BBQ, wagon rides, draft horse demos, pumpkin carving, CHIP Program, yard sale, bake sale, live music by New Relm, chainsaw carving demonstration by Pasco Grove Art Work and more. Pumpkins and corn stalk bundles will also be for sale for $2 each. All proceeds go to Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine. Bring lawn chairs; no alcohol or pets. GIRL SCOUT BAKE SALE (Fundraiser)

Location: 2 LOCATIONS - JOANN FABRIC IN WATERVILLE & WALMART IN WATERVILLE
WE WILL BE HAVING 2 BAKE SALES ON SATURDAY OCTOBER 12TH FROM 10-2. 1 WILL BE AT JOANN FABRICS IN WATERVILLE AND THE OTHER WILL BE AT WAL-MART IN WATERVILLE. ALL PROFITS WILL HELP DEFRAY THE COSTS OF A GIRL SCOUT ANTI-BULLYING EVENT THAT WE HAVE SCHEDULED IN NOVEMBER.
Swine & Stein Oktoberfest (Fairs & Festivals)

Location: Water Street in Downtown Gardiner
Ride in the pig, and roll out the barrel it's Swine and Stein time. On October 12th, 2013, Water Street in Historic Gardiner will be transformed as Gardiner Main Street produces its version of a traditional Oktoberfest. Our 4th annual event can promise an oompah band as well as yummy farm-to-table pork and other local offerings, delicious Maine craft beers, and a great lineup of local live music from Maine bands.The festivities begin at 11:30am and run through 6:30pm. A number of popular restaurants and street vendors from across the state will be teaming up to serve an array of pork-driven dishes, including succulent pulled pork and sausages of all sorts. Get your pig on bread, plate, or stick, but make sure you get some because this event can satisfy everyoneâ€™s taste buds. New this year, Kennebec Local Food Initiative and the Gardiner Farmers Market will be offering a local harvest supper, serving vegetarian samples from the bounty of the Maine harvest.
