Legends & Landscapes: Film, Art and the American West (Fairs & Festivals)
Location: Waterville Opera House & Colby College Museum of Art

The Waterville Opera House, the Maine Film Center, and the Colby College Museum of Art invite you to be part of an exciting weekend of film and art to be held February 28 - March 2, 2014 in Waterville. Over the course of the weekend, the Opera House will once again be transformed into a 35mm movie house, showing four classic westerns including The Missouri Breaks, The Far Country, and two masterpieces directed by Maine's own John Ford, The Searchers and The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance. In between film screenings, the Colby College Museum of Art will offer guided tours of Peter and Paula Lunder's stunning collection of paintings and sculptures depicting the American West. The weekend will also include guest speakers, such as Maine State Historian and friend of John Ford, Earle G. Shettleworth, Jr., as well as two receptions featuring delicious treats from Downtown Waterville restaurants. For more information on Times and Tickets vist www.operahouse.org
