Maine Pond Hockey Classic (Hockey Game)
Location: Northeast Corner of China Lake in China, ME.
Pond hockey is played 4 on 4 without goalies or on ice officials, and each team is allowed to have up to 7 players on their roster for the Maine Pond Hockey Classic.The Maine Pond Hockey Classic hopes to attract teams from around Maine, New England, and Canada. Washington Snowmobile Club SnowFest/Fishing Derby (SnowFest/Fishing Derby)
Time: 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Location: Moscow Boat Launch, Route 2018 miles north of Bingham
The SnowFest and Fishing Derby is an annual event for the Washington Hill & Gully Riders Snowmobile Club. Ice fishing and snowmobiling around the lake make for a great day outdoors for families and individuals. The Hill & Gully Snack Shack is open all day with hot coffee, cocoa, soda, snacks, sweets and burgers and 'dogs hot off the grill. A bonfire is kept going all day for warming hands and bottoms. There are prizes for the overall largest fish and the largest of each breed in these categories: pickerel, brown trout, brook trout, large- and small-mouth bass, white and yellow perch. This year there'll be a contest to name the Washington Pond ice-out date. The prize is $50 for the guess nearest actual ice-out. Forms available at the SnowFest. prise awarded after ice-out is determined. In the event of a tie, the judge will draw a winner from correct entries. Join us Saturday, February 9th, for a day of fun. Riverside Baptist Church will be holding a Public Breakfast Buffet on Saturday, February 9th, 2013 from 7:15 to 9:00 AM in the Fellowship Area. The home cooked menu includes scrambled eggs, bacon, potato, baked beans, pancakes, juice, beverage and southern style Biscuits & Gravy. Take outs available. Somerset Comfort Project (Community Drive)

Location: Island Avenue in Skowhegan across the street from the Skowhegan Fire Department off Route 201
The Federated Church of Skowhegan, the Skowhegan Area Chamber of Commerce and Aid for Kids of Houlton have collaborated to develop the Somerset Comfort Project, a day to give essential items to low-income families of the region. The event will be Saturday, February 9, 2013 from 10am to 1pm at the Federated Church in Skowhegan. Some of the items will be winter coats for kids, sheets, books & toys. Hearts for Hospice- Afternoon of Games (Fundraiser)

Hospice Volunteers of Somerset County is hosting an afternoon of fun and “GAMES” on February 9th from 1PM to 4PM. The event will be held at the Methodist Church in Skowhegan, ME. Cost is $5 per person or $10 per family, tickets will be available at the door. Refreshments will be available. Proceeds to benefit the clients of HVSC. Please call 474-7775 for more information.
Turkey Pie Supper (Public Supper)
Time: 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Location: Brown Memorial United Methodist Church in Clinton. ME.
The menu includes a full salad bar, all meat turkey pie, potatoes, peas, carrots, gravy, cranberry sauce, homemade rolls, beverages and homemade dessert pies, cakes and puddings. The price has not increased from past years, $7.50 for adults, $4.00 for child under 12 years. Suppers will be held each second Saturday of the month until May. Takeouts are available and the hall is easily accessible for the handicapped.
