Location: he three locations are Elm City Plaza parking lot in Waterville; the “Fairgrounds Marketplace” parking lot (between Wal-Mart and Hannaford) in Skowhegan; and Jimmy’s Market parking lot in Bingham.
On Friday, June 21st, United Way of Mid-Maine will be hosting a Day of Action Food Drive in three locations – Waterville, Skowhegan and Bingham. Community members are asked to bring non-perishable, healthy food items to one of three drop-off locations on Friday, June 21st from 8:00 am – noon. United Way of Mid-Maine volunteers will be at each location to collect and sort the donated food. All food collected will go to over twenty local food banks. Community members are encouraged to visit one of United Way of Mid-Maine’s drop-off locations with a donation of a non-perishable, healthy food item. Items specifically for people who have diabetes are particularly needed. Hygiene products and other personal care items are helpful as well. Local businesses can also host a food drive on site for the week or two prior to the Day of Action and then bring collected items to our volunteers on June 21st.
