The SnowFest and Fishing Derby is an annual event for the Washington Hill & Gully Riders Snowmobile Club. Ice fishing and snowmobiling around the lake make for a great day outdoors for families and individuals. The Hill & Gully Snack Shack is open all day with hot coffee, cocoa, soda, snacks, sweets and burgers and 'dogs hot off the grill. A bonfire is kept going all day for warming hands and bottoms. There are prizes for the overall largest fish and the largest of each breed in these categories: pickerel, brown trout, brook trout, large- and small-mouth bass, white and yellow perch. This year there'll be a contest to name the Washington Pond ice-out date. The prize is $50 for the guess nearest actual ice-out.
