Pine Tree Camp 40th Dysart's Snowmobile Ride-in (Fri-Sun) (Fundraiser)
Location: Newport Armory 81 North Street Newport, ME
The 2013 Snowmobile Ride-in in Newport, Maine will feature a wide range of community events fun for the whole family. The event draws snowmobilers from all corners of Maine as well as people living in the greater Newport area. Clubs throughout Maine raise money for Pine Tree Camp throughout the year and ride in to Newport to make their donations. Valentine Origami! Please plan on joining Robert Davis as he conducts an origami workshop at the Gardiner Public Library. This workshop is a teen workshop and is limited to teenagers in grades 6 and up. Davis will teach an origami box model that will make an excellent gift for someone over Valentine's Day! The diagram and the paper will be supplied during the workshop. Origami is the Japanese art of folding and sculpting paper without using scissors or glue to create designs and objects. Washington Snowmobile Club SnowFest/Fishing Derby (SnowFest/Fishing Derby)

The SnowFest and Fishing Derby is an annual event for the Washington Hill & Gully Riders Snowmobile Club. Ice fishing and snowmobiling around the lake make for a great day outdoors for families and individuals. The Hill & Gully Snack Shack is open all day with hot coffee, cocoa, soda, snacks, sweets and burgers and 'dogs hot off the grill. A bonfire is kept going all day for warming hands and bottoms. There are prizes for the overall largest fish and the largest of each breed in these categories: pickerel, brown trout, brook trout, large- and small-mouth bass, white and yellow perch. This year there'll be a contest to name the Washington Pond ice-out date. The prize is $50 for the guess nearest actual ice-out. The Federated Church of Skowhegan, the Skowhegan Area Chamber of Commerce and Aid for Kids of Houlton have collaborated to develop the Somerset Comfort Project, a day to give essential items to low-income families of the region. The event will be Saturday, February 9, 2013 from 10am to 1pm at the Federated Church in Skowhegan. Some of the items will be winter coats for kids, sheets, books & toys. The menu includes a full salad bar, all meat turkey pie, potatoes, peas, carrots, gravy, cranberry sauce, homemade rolls, beverages and homemade dessert pies, cakes and puddings. The price has not increased from past years, $7.50 for adults, $4.00 for child under 12 years. Suppers will be held each second Saturday of the month until May. Takeouts are available and the hall is easily accessible for the handicapped.

The 20th Annual Greater Fairfield Chocolate Festival (Festive Event)
