Legends & Landscapes: Film, Art and the American West (Fairs & Festivals)
Location: Waterville Opera House & Colby College Museum of Art

The Waterville Opera House, the Maine Film Center, and the Colby College Museum of Art invite you to be part of an exciting weekend of film and art to be held February 28 - March 2, 2014 in Waterville. Over the course of the weekend, the Opera House will once again be transformed into a 35mm movie house, showing four classic westerns including The Missouri Breaks, The Far Country, and two masterpieces directed by Maine's own John Ford, The Searchers and The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance. In between film screenings, the Colby College Museum of Art will offer guided tours of Peter and Paula Lunder's stunning collection of paintings and sculptures depicting the American West. The weekend will also include guest speakers, such as Maine State Historian and friend of John Ford, Earle G. Mount Merici Academy’s Second Annual Vendor Fair/Pancake Extravaganza (Fundraiser/Vendor Fair)

This is Mount Merici's Second Annual Vendor Fair/Fundraiser to Benefit their school. Table Fees and proceeds from Pancake Breakfast Directly Benefit Mount Meric Academy. The Pancake Breakfast will be from 9am to 11am. We are also asking each vendor to bring an item to donate to a basket to be raffled off that day. Table fees are $30.00 per table. If you require electricity it will be $5.00 more per table. We are looking to fill as many tables as we can. We will limit to one of any direct sale vendor.This Event will be located at: Mount Merici Academy, 152 Western Ave., Waterville, ME. Vendors will be able to set up at 7:30 am day of. There will be free snacks, drinks and prizes. Funds raised will be used to provide science assemblies and throw a fair open to the community.
