Mitchell School PTO Fundraiser/Cumerland Farms Grand Opening (George J. Mitchel School)

Cumberland Farms is having a fundraiser for the George J. Mitchell School PTO. Starting March 17th, for four weeks, ten cents from every cup of hot coffee sold will be donated to the Mitchell School PTO. A kickoff event will be held Monday, March 13 from 3 to 4pm. There will be free snacks, drinks and prizes. Funds raised will be used to provide science assemblies and throw a fair open to the community.

In Maine, 1 in 5 people will experience sexual violence in their lifetime. This shocking statistic has outraged many of us in our community. We have decided to take a stand against sexual violence by running or walking at this event in support of those survivors in our own home towns. The 3rd Annual One in Five 5K will be held on April 13, 2014 at Thomas College in Waterville at 9AM. The proceeds from this race will benefit the Sexual Assault Crisis & Support Center and its fight to end sexual assault and support survivors through their healing journey.

Lakewood offers diverse daily activities and coordinates many off-site trips for our residents so that they maintain that critical connection to the community ~ all while guaranteeing the safety and dignity of our residents.Since 2010, with local support, Lakewood’s May Day Auction helps to ensure residents maintain that critical connection to the community.
