Fayette Summer Open House (Community Event)

Fayette Summer Open House – July 25Join us at locations across the community to support Fayette's non-profits as they provide a day and evening of fun and delicious activities. The LIBRARY will demonstrate their ancestry program, have story hour and (yum-yum) sell cook books.The Fire Department's chicken BBQ starts at noon. With the Fire Auxiliary bake and RADA knife sale starting at 9 am. Friends of Starling Hall has collected gift certificates and items from popular local businesses and artists for our silent auction. More antiques continue to be donated. Bidding starts at 11 with announcements of winners at 4 pm accompanied by, yes, more dessert. On the big screen, in the evening, Fayette Home and School Association will have a free family movie outdoors. Lemonade and popcorn will be served at no cost.

Elk Summer Music Festival (Benefit)

The Elk Summer Music Festival will be hosted at the Augusta Elks Lodge July 31, and August 1, 2015. The festival is a family event and the proceeds from the event will benefit the Travis Mills Foundation. The fun starts Friday night with opening ceremonies featuring Travis Mills beginning at 6pm. The night's entertainment will include Working Class and Emerald Sky. Saturday the kids join in on the fun with events from 10am to noon. Live music performances will be provided by some of the top bands in the area from noon till midnight. Vendors, food, and raffles will be available during both days.
